Delete your
Black Pint account.
You can request deletion of your The Black Pint account and associated data by email. You do not need to have the app installed.
Request deletion by email
- Email support@theblackpint.com from the email address registered to your account.
- Use the subject “Delete my Black Pint account” and include your @handle, if you know it.
- We may ask you to confirm ownership before processing the deletion. If you no longer have access to your registered email, contact us for help verifying ownership.
Never send your password or a verification code. We will reply about your request and confirm when it has been processed.
Delete directly in the app
On iOS or Android, open Profile → Privacy & account → Delete account, enter your password and confirm. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account.
What is deleted
When deletion is processed, account access is revoked and your profile, posts and comments are removed from public view. Your account name, handle and email are replaced with deleted-account values; your password hash and profile bio are cleared. Friend connections, active reactions, device notification tokens, age-access records and stored in-app feedback are removed.
Background cleanup removes stored account photos, post titles, comment text, attached place-reference details, remaining sign-in sessions and verification records, normally within seven days after account deletion is processed.
What is retained, and for how long
- Database backups expire within 35 days. Operational request logs are retained for up to 30 days.
- Limited internal account, post, scoring, friendship and security/moderation history remains under internal identifiers to preserve moderation and service integrity. These records currently have no fixed automatic expiry. Post Story text is currently hidden with the deleted post but is not automatically erased by the cleanup job; contact support to request its removal.
- Information required for a specific legal obligation may be retained for the duration of that obligation.
- Venue-directory information is separate from your personal account. Copies saved independently by other people, and photos in your own device library, are outside our control.
For questions about retained data or your request, contact support@theblackpint.com. Read our privacy policy for more information.
